American Dream

This work is a reflection of my experience with the nation’s housing crisis. It is a mixed media sculpture composed of nine blind-box sculptures casted in a variety of materials, each housed within custom designed blind-box packaging. The set of 9 blind-boxes are nestled within a modular display box. The sculpture set is fully sealed within cellophane, but is shown in both display mode, as well as a few examples of what the exposed sculptures housed within the boxes look like. The integrity of the work is dependent upon the possessor and whether they desire to damage to work to unveil its contents. Two editions were created for this work.
